Education Visits
Guided Education Programme
Expand your classroom to the New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata.
Through our educational programme we offer first-hand encounters with artworks from Aotearoa.
Education groups will be taken through the Gallery on a tour of our current exhibition, following this we provide a hands-on activity reflecting our learnings. This gives students an opportunity to critically engage with diverse creative skills and historical content.
Generally our education programme runs for 60-90minutes
Our tours and activities change with each exhibition. The programmes can be adapted to suit all levels and specific areas of interest for your class.
Primary, Intermediate, High School, Tertiary and ESOL groups all welcome.
Educational programmes are free.
Please use the booking enquiry form below if you would like to bring your class in for a visit.
